How LLJW Came About

I’ve come to understand how powerful the Spirit of God is and the vital role it plays in our lives. The Spirit is what brings feelings of love, joy, and peace, as described in Galatians 5:22-23: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.” I realized that while I couldn’t bring these feelings directly to others, I could influence them to invite the Spirit into their lives. I became determined to find a way to help people live in a way that welcomes the Spirit, knowing that by doing so, they could experience greater happiness, peace, and love.

One clear way to have the Spirit in our lives is by living in alignment with the teachings of Christ. This became my mission: Empower individuals to follow Christ’s example by providing visual reminders that invite the Spirit, bringing greater love, joy, and peace into their lives.

While searching for how to accomplish this, I was inspired by something I learned about the power of our brains. Our minds are naturally wired to focus on what we see repeatedly, which empowers us to achieve the goals we read or think about often. This is why putting a goal in a visible place is so effective—it helps us stay focused and take action. It struck me that the same principle applies to living Christlike lives. The more we see reminders of Jesus’s teachings, the more empowered we are to live by them.

I thought about the well-known WWJD (What Would Jesus Do?) bracelets and the positive impact they’ve had. They’re a great way to keep Jesus’s example in mind. But I wondered: What if the message went a step further? Instead of just posing a question, what if it was an action—a direct call to live like Jesus would? I realized that seeing such a statement repeatedly could help people not just think about Jesus’s teachings but be empowered to actively live them!

So, I began brainstorming. I wanted a simple, four-letter phrase like WWJD or HWLF (He Would Love First), but one that was actionable and empowering. I spent hours thinking, writing down ideas, and asking for input from friends and family. Ideas like "LLLJ" (Let’s Live Like Jesus) and "LBLJ" (Let’s Be Like Jesus) came up, but none of them felt quite right. Then it hit me: LLJW—Live Like Jesus Would. It was simple, powerful, and easy to remember. Best of all, it was an action—a phrase that could encourage anyone, anytime, to embody Christ’s teachings.

The Purpose of LLJW

The purpose of LLJW is to provide physical reminders that inspire and empower you to live like Jesus would. Every time you or someone else reads these words—whether on a bracelet, a hoodie, a car decal, or another product—you’re reminded of Christlike actions you can take. Even if it’s just for a moment, your mind is strengthened and empowered to live a life more aligned with Jesus’s teachings.

For example, when you see a hoodie that says “Love Your Enemies,” it’s not just a statement. It’s a call to action, and each time you see it, you gain a little more strength to love others, even when it’s difficult. The more we see these reminders, the more empowered we are to live Christlike lives and, in turn, invite the Spirit to bless us with peace, love, and joy.

Join the Mission

At LLJW, our mission is to help you and those around you live like Jesus would. By wearing or displaying these reminders, you’re not just helping yourself—you’re also inspiring others. Every time someone reads a phrase like “Love Your Enemies” or “Forgive Others” they’re being empowered toward Christlike action. And with every small step, they invite the Spirit into their lives, experiencing the peace and happiness that come with it.

You can make a difference. With every product you wear or content you share, you’re helping to bring love, joy, and peace into the lives of others—one phrase and one action at a time.
